Agnes Castellanos is a cadet in the PPDC, and following her promotion into a ranger, becomes the co-pilot of Atlas Psycho and later pilot of Aurora Zeta.
History[]
Aurora Zeta was doing a routine patrol at the Panama Shatterdome when the Rogue Shao Drones attacked. The duo's mission was to buy the escaping members more time to evacuate the Shatterdome.
After a huge battle, only Agnes and Blair were left on the battlefield, they managed to strike 'fear' into the Drones with their fearless attitude. The Drones eventually retreated and fired a large amount of missiles at Aurora and caused heavy damage to the Shatterdome and the Jaeger. Both pilots were also injured, Blair was bleeding from her right eye and head, while Agnes had shrapnel protruding all over her body and a wound in her gut. Despite their injuries, both carried on fighting, with Aurora wiping out a few more enemy Drones with Aurora's blades and remaining right arm before being hit by missiles that landed very close to the Conn-Pod. However, that did nothing to stop Aurora's attack. They were then challenged by the Cat V Kaiju that emerged from the Drone Breach and severely outmatched the Jaeger tearing it apart until only it's torso and left arm remained and pieces of the shattered ionic blades bisected Agnes from the waist down.
As the Kaiju is about to strike the final blow, Agnes loses consciousness shortly before the Kaiju punched a hole through the Jaeger's chest. As entrails and body fluids leak from her bisected body, the necklace that Candace gave her gets dirtied in her blood. In her final moments, she thinks about Candace and Kai, and how Kai might help her apologize to Candace for getting the bracelet dirty again. Agnes is among the many names added to the PPDC memorial gravestone.
Personality[]
Agnes is overbearing, selfish, quick to anger and lacking in manners. Agnes is shown to be very dense in a current situation, such as comparing Candace Miller and Blair's breast sizes out loud, ending with her getting slapped, and taking food she thought was discarded from a shop, solely because it's placed outside. However, she has shown a noble side, helping others in their times of need. Despite her being inconsiderate, she is not totally devoid of social sense, shown when she chastises Kai Zerros for the failed date due to Kai being too straightforward, and that Kai should not have attempted to kiss Candace right from the start.
