Midnight Winter was one of the last Mark V Jaegers to roll off the assembly line before remaining resources were fully allocated to the Mark VI Jaeger programme.

Initial Deployment[]
Midnight Winter was one of the last Mark V Jaeger constructed and launched from Kodiak Island on June 2 2033, with the PPDC deciding to fully shift its resources to constructing the more advanced Mark VI's. However, unlike most other Jaegers, Midnight Winter was not assigned to a Shatterdome, instead, it was given the unusual task of directly defending Kodiak Island itself along with two other Jaegers; Aurora Zeta and Brute Komodo.

Midnight Winter is one of the well-armed and armoured Mark-V Jaegers in the PPDC Fleet, equipped with Vibra-Claws, powerful enough to shatter a skyscraper with one fell swoop. Winter is also armed with AKM missiles, used for medium range combat and two launchers in its shoulder pads that fire disk-shaped weapons known as Slash Disks, however, these disks were only used as a last resort by the pilots.
